Bracing For Ensuing Opportunities In A Seemingly Faster Paced And Transformed Nation

By Mwangi Wanjumbi- Newtimes BS Chief Strategist, Trainer & Researcher

Have you noticed something unique about our new president? He is extremely fast paced. This is noticeable as he walks around state house, in the company of state officials and invited guests. Further, do you remember the joint opening of the Senate and 11th parliament on Tuesday, 11th April 2013? The president inspected the military’s guard of honour within an unbelievably short time.

If the same pace plus apparent enthusiasm and energy are maintained and cascaded appropriately, we may seemingly be geared towards fast paced national activities. That may apply not only in the way we conduct ourselves, but also our organizational and national affairs. Indeed, the world we live in, now dubbed as the global village is extremely fast paced. You only need to consider the pace of technological advancement to understand where we are coming from. But, are we all in tune with this fast pace?

Actually, the more we are in tune, the better placed we are, in identifying opportunities associated with a ‘fast paced nation’ that is leaping towards achieving vision 2030, in the next few years. Obviously, the global environment is equally fast paced. That is why it is absolutely crucial to be in tune with this fast pace. But, even if we perceive ourselves to be fast paced, ‘there is always room for improvement,’ as the total quality management adage says.

So, what does it take to be in tune with this inevitable fast pace? It no doubt involves embracing some paradigm shifts in the way we work and conduct ourselves at personal, organizational and even national level. Or doesn’t it?

Luckily, we at Newtimes Business Solutions can start you off with our high impact personal/organizational change solutions that have benefited numerous individuals and organizations over the years. But, just to have a feel of the change process, we invite you to consider a one day motivational solution titled “Continually Working Smart and on Purpose”

Alternatively, you can choose the option of open training programs as outlined in our training calendar. Of-course, there are many other solutions worth considering as laid out in the training calendar – the next in line is:-
